The Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society has started to offer a series of FREE Art Classes where participants will paint scenes of local beauty such as the beautiful trees of Forest Park, the snowy hills of the Golf Course and more!
Funding has been made possible from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Queens Council on the Arts.
Participants do not need to bring any supplies as the group will provide the paint, the canvas, the brushes and light refreshments. The classes are meant for any skill level, from beginners to experienced painters. The top priority, according to the group, is to have fun.
Classes will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel United Church of Christ (93-12 91st Avenue) on the lower level.
Register by calling the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society at 718-805-2002 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You must register to attend. You can pick multiple dates and the group will accommodate as many requests as they can.
