Assemblyman Mike Miller and C.E.R.T. #9 are sponsoring a free CPR/AED Awareness course.
“At any time, any one of us can find ourselves in an emergency situation,” said Miller. “It is extremely important that everyone know the basic skills to step in and save a life.”
Miller and C.E.R.T Queens #9’s CPR/AED Awareness course will be staffed by FDNY EMTs on Monday, November 19 from 6-7 p.m. at the Richmond Hill Block Association/One Stop Community Center. It’s located at 110-08 Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill.
The course will include compressions-only CPR, how to use an AED, a practice manikin for use during class, and take home instructions for follow-up practice.
Space is limited and available to those 14 years and up. RSVP with Miller’s office at 718-805-0950.
