Community Board 9 encourages residents to show up to Public Hearing on the Proposed Kew Gardens jail

Calling all residents who are passionate about what opens in your community! Community Board 9, which covers Woodhaven, Kew Gardens, Ozone Park and Richmond Hill, is hosting the public hearing at Borough Hall this Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The hearing will include a presentation from the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, Department of Corrections and the Mayor’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. The public is invited to join the hearing to voice opinions, express concerns and ask questions regarding the proposal of one jail opening in Kew Gardens.
